Join us for a engaging and open conversation Do Black Lives Matter? Race, Racism and Resistance, with Maya Goodfellow and Kehinde Nkosi Andrews.
Kehinde Andrews is an academic, activist and author whose books include Back to Black: Retelling Black Radicalism for the 21st Century (2018). His first book was Resisting Racism: Race, Inequality and the Black Supplementary School Movement (2013). His forthcoming book The New Age of Empire: How Racism and Colonialism Still Rule the World(2021) offers a lucid account of the many ways in which the effects and logic of anti-black colonialism continue to inform our modern world. Maya Goodfellow is a writer, and academic. She is the author of Hostile Environment: How Immigrants Became Scapegoats (new edition 2020) and has written for a range of publications including the New York Times and the Guardian. She holds a PhD at SOAS, University of London and is currently a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at SPERI, University of Sheffield.
